Bérard Auditory Integration Training (AIT) trains the brain to interpret better what the ears hear.
Bérard found that audio integration training would "bring about a 're-education' of the hearing process" and auditory processing with the aim to improve auditory defects while improving concentration.
It can also help those with special education needs, dyslexia, dyspraxia, speech and language difficulties, reduce noise sensitivity, emotional and behavioural difficulties and triggers which may be the the root cause of many sensory or balance difficulties.
AIT is a sound therapy using modulated music, delivered directly via headphones, from an approved Bérard AIT device (Audiokinetron or Earducator). It is provided personally or under direct (on-site) supervision in a therapeutic environment, by a Bérard AIT practitioner.
The sound therapy is individually tailored to help target any difficulties identified in the assessment process.
20 therapy sessions take place over 10 days.
Improvements are often seen within the treatment period and further long lasting results are expected within 3 to 6 months.
At Centre Senses we recommend treatment is taken for 5 days, 2 days break then a further 5 days. However if you would prefer to undertake therapy over 10 consecutive days to fit in with your schedule please let us know so we may accommodate this.
